Yesterday, January 30, 2010 was the first general assembly of the Holy Angel University High School Batch 1985, collectively known as the PrimeMovers. The assembly, which was held at the Angeles City Lunch Restaurant in Balibago, officially starts the preparation for the 19th Holy Angel University Grand Alumni Homecoming this year.
Our batch. Batch ‘85, has been handed the “torch” of hosting this year’s homecoming by the Cherubims (Batch ‘84) at the end of their successful homecoming last December 30, 2009.
It was an intimate and rather informal meeting, but definitely not lacking in results and motivation, as Batch President Roland Buan delivers his message of the batch history and the goal that we intend to reach.
Committees were formed during the meetings that will handle all the teeny-weeny details in the preparation of the grand homecoming. I will post all the list of the committees and their chairpersons, together with the complete list of officers from president down to the board of directors once I get the list.
Speaking of board of directors, yours truly was elected (more like “volunteered” actually) to be one of the directors of the batch to fill the vacancy left by our batchmate, the late Ely Agapito. A tall order for me, to be honest, but my earnest desire to contribute to the success of our batch overcomes whatever self-doubts and hesitation I have.
In the meantime, this post is just to announce that the ball has started rolling and an 11-months preparation is not really that long. So we enjoin all our batchmates to come out, step up and participate in this biggest event for our batch.
